PROJECT SUMMARY
The Washington Harbour Management and Clark Construction required two tensioned fabric structures, designed by Gensler, to cover existing outdoor bars in the Washington Harbour Lower Plaza. Clark Construction recommended Eide based upon the expertise required to deliver high-quality products for this thriving Georgetown waterfront destination.
All the stops were pulled for these cantilevered ePTFE fabric canopies. White, Tenara 4T40HF Architectural Fabric was chosen due to its 38% light transmission. Luxury and class are exhibited with the use of stainless steel cables and metallic paint. By hot dip galvanizing the steel and utilizing high end fabric, these canopies will be protecting thirsty patrons of the bars overlooking the Potomac River for decades to come.
