PROJECT SUMMARY
The Macerich Fresno Limited Partnership wanted to enhance the atmosphere of the Fashion Fair Mall with functional fabric structures that make a luxurious statement to increase vendor business and property value. Eide designed and fabricated beautiful inverted tensioned umbrella structures featuring a unique style utilizing a cable and chain combination for fabric tensioning and great adjustable performance. This fast-tracked project was installed just in time to catch the trailing summer heat and also beat the Christmas rush. These tension structures were the inspiration to come up with an entire product line of tension structure modular units.
