PROJECT SUMMARY
Oklahoma City seems to be springing up with new construction all over the area. Here at the Classen Curve, a strip mall at the north end of town, two identical tension structures were designed to shade the food court areas as well as reflect the Cubism influences in Oklahoma’s architecture. White, flame retardant, Sunsure Plus PVC mesh fabric was selected to cover the structures. The cables and fittings were constructed of stainless steel, but hidden behind Velcro flaps to promote the importance of the fabric verses the steel.
