PROJECT SUMMARY

The City of Mesa required engineered fabric structures to be installed as the centerpiece of the West Mesa Park and Ride Public Parking Lot.

The three (3) tensile canopies were design to overlap each other, so MPanel was utilized to ensure the shade structures did not intersect at the overlapping points. Deviations from the architect’s proposed design were taken into consideration due to the curvature of the catenary cables and tensioning hardware at all membrane corners.

The project was completed successfully with minimal issues to meet the architect’s concept and exceed the client’s expectations with minimal turnbuckles and maximum shade coverage.
